La Pampa, Patagonia Argentina

Argentina is a large country where climate and conditions range from deserts to subtropical forests and from great plains to the highest mountains. Between the Andes and the Atlantic Ocean, north of the Patagonian wilderness, lies the province of La Pampa, a vast and fertile plain known the world over for its excellent farming conditions and hunting opportunities. This province covers 55.382 square miles (143.440 km2) and has a population of approximately 290.000, which is less than 1% of Argentina ‘s total.

Carro Quemado is a small village (population 300) located in the northern part of La Pampa. In this area large plains covered by forests of native trees (caldenes) provide an excellent habitat for wildlife such as wild boar, puma and red deer as well as for small game.
